In helping your child to find out the best, we evaluate their educational, personal and curricular background. We listen what your child wants and then help your child to find the best fit and prepare an application that best according to their interests and talents.

  • Evaluation of the student’s academic, personal and curricular background.
  • Identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses and provides suggestions to enhance the strengths and address the weaknesses. This would include suggestions for coursework to be taken.
  • Discuss with the student and their family financial aid issues that may be important in finding the best college fit.
  • Work with the student to determine a standardized testing schedule including determining which standardized tests to take and help with necessary preparation for taking the tests.
  • Help student identify appropriate final list of colleges based on all information available.
  • Assist student in all aspects of the application process including discussion of whether early application is appropriate, completion of the application, brainstorming essay ideas and assistance with getting the best recommendations.
  • Prepare student for interviews and help with mock interviews.
  • Help student and their family evaluate college choices after admission decisions are made.

College Application Summary Process

  • All schools / Colleges / Universities have an application form to apply. The Application allows students to fill out with all the basic information and submit photocopies.
  • Most selective universities will ask for a recommendation from counselor.  
  • You will require forwarding a copy of your grade transcript.
  • Make sure to submit language test scores that you require to submitted from the testing agency
  • Some colleges require interviews those colleges that offer interviews they may be either evaluative or informative. An evaluative interview is one that will be used in the admission decision. An informative interview is used only to provide you with answers to any questions you may have about the college and will not be used in the admissions making process.

Who Needs a Study Permit ?
Most foreign students will need a Study Permit to study in Canada. There are some exceptions:

  • If you wish to study in a short-term course or program:
    You do not need a Study Permit if you are planning to take a course or program in Canada with a duration of six months or less. You must complete the course or program within the period authorized for your stay.
  • If you are a minor child already
    You do not need a Study Permit if you are a minor child already in the country, and your parents are not “visitors” in the respective country.
  • Foreign representative to the Country:
    If you are a family or staff member of a foreign representative to Canada accredited by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, you do not need a Study Permit to study.

Benefits of Having a Study Permit
You should apply for a Study Permit before you come to the respective country if you think you may wish to continue your studies in another program after you complete the short-term course or program. If you do not have a valid Study Permit and wish to continue your studies, you will have to leave the country in order to apply for one!

Why should I get a Study Permit ?
There are benefits to having a Study Permit, even if you do not require one. If you have a valid Study Permit, you can:

  • work part-time on campus at the college or university at which you are registered as a full-time student; and
  • Apply to renew your Study Permit from within the country, if you decide to continue studying.

When should I apply for my Study Permit ?
You should apply as soon as you receive your letter of acceptance from the educational institution. The time needed to process an application to study may vary at different visa offices.
